How it works

From eligibility check to certificate

We file your application through CDSL Ventures Ltd (CVL), a SEBI-recognised accreditation agency, using CVL’s online accreditation system. CVL reviews and issues the certificate. Here is exactly what happens, who does each step, and what you will need.

The steps

Each step has one owner

Your accreditation page always shows the current step, and whether it is waiting on you, on us or on CVL.

  1. Step 1: Check your eligibilityYou

Create a free account with your WhatsApp number or email, then answer a few questions about your income, net worth and financial assets. You see straight away whether you look eligible, and on which test.

  2. Step 2: Pay our filing feeYou

Online, with an optional CA net-worth certificate on the same invoice. You see the full price, and the terms, before you pay.

  3. Step 3: Give consentYou

You allow us to share your details with CVL for this application. Nothing is sent to CVL before you do.

  4. Step 4: Fill in the application and upload documentsYou

Your details, your figures in lakhs and your documents. The formats CVL expects — undertaking, CA certificate — are ready to download.

  5. Step 5: Compliance reviewOur team

Our team checks names, dates, figures and every document against CVL’s requirements before anything is filed. If something needs fixing, we send it back with a note saying exactly what.

  6. Step 6: Filed with CVLOur team

We register your application on CVL’s accreditation system. CVL then sends you verification codes, which you enter on your accreditation page.

  7. Step 7: Pay CVL’s feeYou

You pay CVL’s own fee directly to CVL, on CVL’s payment page. It is separate from ours and depends on your applicant type and certificate length.

  8. Step 8: Certificate issuedCVL

CVL reviews the application and, if it is satisfied, issues a digitally signed certificate. CVL decides; we follow up with CVL until there is an answer.

Timing

What we can say honestly about time

Most of the time is spent gathering documents. We review a complete application before filing it; CVL then sets its own timeline, which we do not control.

  • Eligibility check

A few minutes, online, the moment you create your account.

  • CVL’s verification link

After we file, CVL emails you a code. CVL’s link expires after 3 days, so we remind you.

  • CVL’s fee

CVL may drop an incomplete application after 7 days, so pay CVL’s fee promptly once we file.

Certificate length

Two years or three

The length depends on how many financial years you met a threshold in. Three years needs documents for both years.

2 years
You met a threshold in the last financial year.
3 years
You met a threshold in each of the last two financial years.

Documents

What each applicant type needs

The list below is the one our application form uses, taken from CVL’s document requirements for each category. Formats for the undertaking and the CA certificate are ready to download inside your application.
